Perforated vs Solid Drying Trays

With over a century of expertise, we've discovered that mastering airflow is crucial. If you're handling liquids or small seeds, opt for solid trays to prevent these materials from slipping through any gaps. Conversely, for items like fruits or pet treats that are too large to fall through openings, choose perforated trays with the largest mesh size available. This ensures optimal airflow for your product and quicker drying times.

Drying Tray Liners

Drying Tray Liners will separate products from the tray and eliminate products sticking to the stainless steel trays. The key benefit is providing additional airflow around your products, drying your products faster without negative impacts.

  • Large Mesh: Most common, typically used with jerky or larger snack products to prevent sticking and allows maximum airflow.

  • Small Mesh: Typically used with smaller fruits and vegetables where the product may slip through the larger mesh holes. A bit restrictive on airflow compared to large mesh liners.

  • Super Fine Mesh: Less common, typically used in applications where final product is very fine, like seeds or equivalent size. More restrictive on airflow over small mesh.

  • Solid Sheet: Less common, typically used in making fruit leathers or similar products where the consistency is that of a liquid. Solid Sheet Liners allow for the product to dry without running through the holes.
